Observing The Lab

As I sat in front of a computer inside the e-port lab in our school library with about twenty other students, I watched how more students just came in and out of the lab. These students came in and interacted with others about certain assignments they had to complete or just chattered about events going on in their personal lifes. Still, no students came in with their laptops and some of the students who were already in the lab just sat there and stared at the monitor as they typed away on facebook, youtube or researching specific topics. Yet, there were some students sitting with their books opened in front of them while they looked for information and gathered and printed whatever they needed in order to continue their work. However, all these students seemed super stressed and brought along some snacks to concentrate and carry on with their duties, including me. Then, some students were just there to accompany their friends, just like some of them did not even respect the "no cell phone use" sign and still talked or texted on the phone while in the lab. Last but not least, I realized that there were more females than males working on certain projects and that most of us were just slouching instead of sitting up straight. In conclusion, I really did not think there was anything interesting going in the lab, but then again it is just a library.. "/
