Week Thirteen - Ready or Not?

As the semester comes to an end, we are getting closer to presentations and finals. I will be presenting this week and so far I have a model of my poster, but I still need to keep working on it. Today, I will conclude the last multimodal writing and will try to finish my academic research paper. I hope I posted for every week we had to, so that I can earn the points. -.-
Now, back to workk!

Week Twelve - Almost Done!

This is the last week before our actual poster presentations, so this means we should be pretty much done with our assignments. I have done a lot more these past two weeks than the whole time in class, I think. I am excited to decorate my poster and present in class to see the rest of the presentations. I believe these research projects are going to be very interesting and well thoughtout, so I really want to see them. Now, all I have to do is continue working on my research paper, start my multimodal writing number three, and get creative on my poster, but other than that I am pretty much done (:

Week Eleven - Closer & Closer

As I catch up with these blog posts I realize that I've actually done quite a lot with my research project. As a class we have turned in our survey results, at least one of our interviews scripts, and our multimodal writing number one. Now, we have to analyze our survey results and see the comparison with other questions. The interviews help greatly because they give live experiences to our topics. Also, the multimodal writing help us be creative about our project and show us other ways to prove our points. I still have not figured out what I am going to do with my multimodal writing number two, but hopefully I do soon. Well, see ya next week with more updates (:

Week Ten - Blog Amnesia

I keep forgetting to blog! Although, I guess sometimes it is good, because I come back with more information. My project is going very well, because I've been editing everything little by little and I've been very involved with my interviews. We were informed of the due dates for various assignments, so that has helped too. It makes me work on some tasks more than others at times, but I feel it is better. I'll post next time about my interview, because that is coming up :)

Week Nine - Interviews, Surveys, and More

To begin with, I was supposed to blog on Saturday, but once again I forgot. These past weeks have not been good for me at all. I have so much going on other than the actual research project. However, I did send out my survey already and I hope to collect a lot of responses, because I need them. Also, I will continue editing my multimodal writing and I still have to conduct two more interviews. Ah, I feel like I am never going to finish. Well, the brightside is that it is almost November, which means we are closer to December :)

Week Eight - Missed Itt!

Oops, I totally forgot to blog for last week, so here it is. Last week was super hectic and that explains why I forgot to blog. I have been trying to catch up on the interviews. Also, we had to edit our surveys and we had to do a draft for our first multimodal writing, which I decided to do a play for mine. I enjoyed peer editing for both assignments and I hope we continue doing that activity, because it helped a lot. Now, all I tell myself is: "it's almost over" :)

Week Seven - First Interview

I am so excited, because I just received my first interviewee's response for the interview. She is an illegal immigrant that I will be interviewing, so that is going to be my first interview tomorrow, Sunday October 17. I hope all goes well and that I am able to gather all the information that I want to have. I will be re-checking my questions to see if I can get enough information with those questions and if not I will be rewriting them, even though I feel quite confident about all of them. I cannot wait to start my interviews. Now, time to edit :)
